The Gamboge family was one of the more fortunate ones when the Spectraclysm hit. Arthur Gamboge lost his wife, but she was the only family member lost, and his sister-in-law Irina even managed to escape the skin change that happened to the rest of the family somehow (though her eyes were still affected). Afterwards, he chose to move with his brother Cipriano, his wife Irina, his son Timoteo and his wife Carla, and their young son Erick. The future looked promising for them all now that they had weathered the storm so well, and they were all eager to get settled in their new home. The taxi dropped them off at their new house early one Monday morning.

As the taxi pulled away and drove off into the distance, they all stood chatting on the front lawn for several minutes before heading inside to have a look around.
